The plunge pool

After warmth comes cooling. In the plunge pool, a refreshing cold-water bath of about 5°C, you cool your body down after your sauna session. If you’re not used to it, it can be a bit intense at first, but it strengthens and toughens your body. And after your plunge, your skin tingles pleasantly and you feel fresh and energized.

Why take the plunge pool?

The temperature in the sauna, steam bath, or whirlpool is high. Your body temperature absorbs that heat and rises. That’s why it’s good to cool your body afterwards. This stimulates your blood vessels and improves your circulation, sending more oxygen to your muscles. You’ll feel wonderful!

How to cool down best? Immerse yourself in the cold-water bath or take a cold shower. Or tip that bucket all at once. On cold winter days, a walk in our forest garden is also highly recommended.
